Hoy quiero hablar de una dramaturga que admiro muchísimo (tanto por su dramaturgia como por su narrativa): Sarah Ruhl (Estados Unidos, 1974). Sus obras exploran lo cotidiano con maravilla y también repiensan/releen/reescriben a otros escritores, sus relaciones y sus obras.

Así, ha escrito sobre la amistad entre Elizabeth Bishop y Robert Lowell en su obra Dear Elizabeth (basándose en su correspondencia), ha reimaginado a Eurídice, en la obra del mismo nombre, así como también ha escrito obras brillantes sobre el amor como Clean House (mi favorita)

Pero el libro de Ruhl que quiero recomendar hoy es el libro de ensayos que escribió luego de tener a sus hijos: 100 Essays I Don't Have Time to Write: On Umbrellas and Sword Fights, Parades and Dogs, Fire Alarms, Children, and Theater. Reflexiones breves y lúcidas sobre TODO.
